The Reverend Dina Widlake
Rector
The Reverend Dina Widlake responded to the call to serve as Rector of Epiphany Episcopal Church in February 2022.
Raised in the Catholic Church, Dina joined the Episcopal Church in 1997, where she was spiritually fed by the space the Church made for questions and wondering. Dina served her seminary internships at St. David’s Church in Ashburn and The Falls Church Episcopal in Falls Church. After ordination, Dina served as Assistant Rector at St. John’s Church in McLean.
Dina’s adult sons, Nathan and Evan, keep her laughing, help her remember the value of playtime, and remind her that it is helpful to be serious without taking oneself seriously.
Liz Whitlock
Parish Administrator
My life has been a blend of faith and a passion for service. I’ve been an Episcopalian all my life, and for over a decade, I had the pleasure of working in the Episcopal Church as both a Parish Administrator and General Manager. My professional path also includes 26 rewarding years with the Air National Guard, where I served in various capacities as both an enlisted member and an officer.
With more than 35 years in administrative and management roles, I’ve found that what I enjoy most is building real connections with people. Those relationships are what truly keep me motivated.
When I’m not working, you will find me traveling to new places or enjoying time with family and friends. One of my greatest joys is spending time with my adorable 7-year-old grandson, who never fails to bring a smile to my face.
Dana Hale
Children, Youth, and Family Minister
Dana and her husband, and their children, have been actively participating in the life of Epiphany since 2015. Dana and her family serve as leaders of faithfulness as they embrace the Episcopal Church for the twenty-first century. Dana shepherds our Children, Youth and Family Ministry to a new level of excellence.
Cathy Lard
Music Minister
Cathy Lard joined the team at Epiphany in early 2020 and serves as our Music Minister. Originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, she started her music career by singing in her local church choir at age 10. She went on to attend the North Carolina School of the Arts and received her certification in Orff Schulwerk from George Mason University. As a professional singer, she has a long performance history in and around the Washington, DC area as both a soloist and a choral singer. She also spent many years living in France, where she taught music at the Bilingual Montessori School of Paris and sang and helped direct the children’s pageant music at the American Cathedral in Paris. Cathy is excited to help Epiphany make a joyful noise to the Lord!
Jeanie Park
Principal Musician
Jeanie Park has been serving as organist at Epiphany Church since October 2008. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in music and holds a Master’s degree in piano performance from the School of Music at George Mason. As an active performer, she has performed locally and internationally. She resides in the neighborhood and loves to cook for her family and friends. She also enjoys working with children.
Vestry & Officers
The wardens and vestry, elected by the congregation and in support of the rector, care for the spiritual well-being of the parish and manage the temporal work of the church. If you are interested in learning more about a ministry or if you have any questions about Epiphany, please feel free to contact the rector or anyone on the vestry.
